Animal Crisis Team (ACT) is a not for profit (501(c)(3) status pending) organization dedicated to providing first responder emergency services to the companion animals in areas stricken by natural disasters. ACT is committed to providing effective and organized immediate assistance and care to animals in disaster areas within hours of the initial disaster.
ACT operates with an all-volunteer staff. ACT volunteers are stationed throughout the United States are equipped with the information, supplies, and training that can be dispatched immediately to any area affected by natural or man-made disasters.
ACT provides education to the general public for insuring that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, the resources available for their animals are clear cut and easily accessible.
ACT assists all animals; companion animals such as dogs, cats, birds...exotics and reptiles...farming animals such as horses and cattle. All of them deserve a fighting chance during disasters.
ACT vision is one of care and compassion towards companion animals when disaster strikes.
